Utah College Application Week 2024

Week of October 7th - 11th
Schedule:

​Monday and Thursday - apply for college in the computer lab during English/LA class period 

Tuesday - BYU admission counselor will be in the counseling center from 10-11

Wednesday - StudentAid.Gov Night (create your FAFSA accounts and get assistance from the college advisor to simplify the process)

Friday - UVU & University of Utah will be here from 8:15 to 12 in the counseling office

​(During lunch throughout the week you can visit with Dixie Technical College, Utah Tech, SUU, US Army, National Guard, The Skin Institute, Avanti Beauty, and Paul Mitchell representatives in the commons)

*College rock hunt will also happen every day! Find the rock and bring it to the counseling office to claim your prize!*

Raffle Rules:
  • 1 application = 1 raffle entry
  • If your entry is drawn as the winning ticket, you must prove that you applied to the college on that entry (ex: I applied to Utah Tech, Snow College, and Dixie Technical College, and my Snow College entry was chosen. I need to show an email/confirmation page that I applied to Snow)
  • A person can only win one prize (if you have already won once and another one of your entries is drawn, we will draw again for a new winner)

Finished Applying? Next Steps: 


  1. Send your high school transcripts to all colleges you applied to (you will need to send them again once you graduate).                                                                   
  2. Send your CE transcripts from Utah Tech (if required).   
  3. ​Check your email often!! The colleges will reach out to you with what to do next for their school specifically.                                                                         
  4. Apply for housing (if you know for sure where you want to go).                                                                         
  5. If you are looking for scholarships, sign up for GoingMerry or check out the monthly scholarships on the College Access Advisor tab.                                                                                                  
  6. Apply for FAFSA! Many institutional scholarships now require the FAFSA.
